Generals top rival Hawks

HERKIMER, N.Y. (WKTV) - The HCCC Generals beat the MVCC Hawks 69-60 in a battle of rivals on Wednesday night.

MV started the game on a 12-3 run but then the Generals countered with their own 14-2 run and would take a six point lead into halftime. HCCC would go on to lead by as many as 15 points.  MV made a few runs but could not come back. The Generals defense held Proctor grad Deandre Preaster to just five points on the night.

Herkimer was led by Jerome Floyd's 13 points. Akeem Ellis and Rhamel Williams chipped in 12 points each as the Generals improved to 17-2 overall.

MVCC's Jerome Davis finished with 15 points. The Hawks drop to 16-5.
