UTICA, NY – The North Eastern Athletic Conference has announced that the scheduled game times for the quarterfinal round of its men’s and women’s basketball championship tournament Friday have been changed due to inclement weather.
Instead of the originally scheduled times of 1:00 pm, 3:00 pm, 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm for both tournaments, the games have now been pushed back to 3:00 pm, 5:00 pm, 7:00 pm and 9:00 pm, respectively. Thus, the top-seeded SUNYIT men’s basketball team will now face No. 8 seed Abington at 9:00 pm on Friday instead of 8:00 pm, while the fourth-seeded SUNYIT women’s team will face No. 5 seed Dallas at 5:00 pm instead of 3:00 pm.
The rest of the men’s schedule for the quarterfinals is as follows: No. 3 seed Penn State Harrisburg vs. No. 6 seed Penn State Berks at 3:00 pm, No. 4 seed University of Dallas vs. No. 5 seed SUNY Cobleskill at 7:00 pm, and No. 2 seed Wells College vs. No. 7 seed Keuka at 7:00 pm.
The rest of the women’s schedule is as follows: No. 3 seed Berks vs. No. 6 seed Saint Elizabeth at 3:00 pm, No. 2 seed SUNY Cobleskill vs. No. 7 seed Cazenovia at 7:00 pm, and No. 1 seed Keuka vs. No. 8 seed Harrisburg at 9:00 pm.
The men’s tournament will take place at Penn State Harrisburg, while the women’s tournament will be hosted by Penn State Berks.
The Wildcats finished the season with a thirteen-game win streak and are 21-4 overall, while the Lady Wildcats won six of their last eight contests and are currently 15-10 overall.
