Brewers top Red Wings at home

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - The Utica Brewers got a big pitching performance by Miguel Navarro Saturday night, as they beat the Geneva Red Wings 4-2 at Murnane Field.  Navarro struck out eleven batters in eight innings, giving up two runs on five hits.

The Brewers scored the game's first run in the first inning, on an RBI triple hit by Kenny Durling scoring Stephen Dezzi.

In the next inning, Dezzi drove in Brian Pruett and Andrew McNutt on a bases loaded single, giving Utica a 3-0 lead.

Durling and Blaine Tanner each had three hits in the game for the Brewers.

Utica's weekend homestand finishes Sunday, when they host Adirondack.
