WKTV - Utica College Men's Hockey coach Gary Heenan is staying with the Pioneers, after taking himself out of the running for the top job at Division I Alaska-Anchorage.  Coach Heenan and UC confirmed his return Monday.

Heenan has been the only coach in the team's 13 seasons, with the 2012-13 season the best ever.  The Pioneers set a new school record for wins and also clinched their first ever berth in the NCAA Division III Tournament.

UC would also host their first NCAA Tournament game in that first appearance, beating Bowdoin in the Quarterfinals to earn a spot in the Frozen Four at Lake Placid.
