SU ends contract with IMG

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Syracuse University has ended their partnership with sports marketing company IMG after fifteen years.  The school sent a letter to sponsors last week, saying they would be exploring other options, including another possible deal with IMG.

The two sides had an agreement that was set to last through the 2020-2021 season.  IMG had been paying the salaries of SU head basketball coach Jim Boeheim, as well as head football coach Scott Shafer and Doug Marrone before him.

IMG handled much of SU's marketing including signage at the Carrier Dome, the radio coaches shows for football as well as men's and women's basketball, play by play for men's lacrosse, as well as all internet rights for Orange athletic teams.
