UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - It will be Brandon Triche vs. Sean Burton and DaJuan Coleman vs. Dave Golembiowski in the King of Kings men's championship. That's because Triche, Coleman and J-D's Finest and Burton, Gumby and Upstate Swagger won their semifinal games Friday night at Notre Dame high school.
In the first game of the night, Triche and Coleman led a balanced J-D attack that pulled away from defending champ Syracuse Elite in the fourth quarter, winning 93-73. Triche had 17 points, while Coleman added ten.
In game number two, Swagger jumped out to a big lead on Bless Ballers, who made a second quarter run to pull within three. But Scott Knapp's 21 points, combined with Gumby's 19 helped Swagger to another big lead, winning 74-47.
J-D and Swagger will meet in the championship Sunday at five from Notre Dame, which will follow the championships in the College Prospect and Women's Leagues.
