By MIKE LEVIN

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - After an arduous training camp, the Utica College football team is ready for the start of the 2014 season.  The Pioneers will travel to Misericordia Saturday at 1:00 p.m.

NEWSChannel 2 Sports Director Mike Levin visited with the team Thursday afternoon and spoke with Head Coach Blaise Faggiano and a few of his players.

Among the topics of conversation were new starting QB Will Kassar, a sophomore transfer from Division I Sacred Heart, Proctor graduate J'Von Evans who is a former Sports Express football and basketball All-Star and will get significant playing time as a running back and return specialist, as well as the run game as a whole and how important it is to not only establish it on offense, but also stop their opponents, such as Misericordia this weekend.
