Former Orange star Wallace to visit Utica

UTICA, N.Y. - John Wallace, a member of the 1996 Syracuse Basketball national runner-up team, will be visiting Utica on Wednesday, May 19th.  He and former Buffalo star Modie Cox will be speaking at the Utica Boys and Girls Club at the Parkway Recreation Center as part of their Winning Because I Tried youth mentoring program.

After leaving Syracuse, Wallace was drafted in the first round of the NBA Draft by the Knicks, and played seven seasons with five teams.  He finished his pro career by playing two seasons in Europe.

The program on Wednesday begins at 6 p.m.
