Week 8 Training Schedule

WEEK 8

JUNE 6, 2011

 

This week we start focusing on the time of day that you run. The Boilermaker is just a few weeks away and if you are an evening runner, you should incorporate some early morning runs. Start at 8:00 A.M. This will get you prepared for that early Boilermaker start.

We’ll be doing 4 workouts this week.
 

  • Monday, Day 1 – A 7 mile run today. Begin at the start line (Culver Ave) follow Boilermaker course to Utica College parking lot across from St. Lukes Hospital.
  • Tuesday, Day 2 – Rest Day
  • Wednesday, Day 3 – Long run today of 30 minutes out and 30 minutes back. Take extra fluid. Run with a friend.
  • Thursday, Day 4 – 4 miles today on a semi flat course.
  • Friday, Day 5 – Rest Day
  • Saturday, Day 6 – A 6 mile loop, remember to bring a friend, to help you along the course.
  • Sunday, Day 7 – Rest Day
