Ilion Hangs On Against Sauquoit Valley

ILION, N.Y. (WKTV) - After a couple tough years in Class B, Ilion enjoyed its return to Class C on Friday, holding off visiting Sauquoit Valley in a Class C East contest 20-15.

The Golden Bombers went up 20-0 in the first half on an interception return for a touchdown and two goal line scores, and the defense shut down Sauquoit's multiple-option offense just enough to hang on.

Running back Andrew Dusseault was the star of the game for Ilion, rushing for 144 yards and a touchdown on 19 carries.
