Warriors top rival Spartans in big TVL winMARCY, N.Y. (WKTV) - When it comes to rivalries, New Hartford-Whitesboro is as good as it comes, and Friday night's boys hoops showdown was no different, with Whitesboro edging out a 64-60 win over the Spartans. Chris Gibbs, Mike Sullivan and Ryan Watson each had 14 points apiece to lead the Warriors to victory, improving their overall record to 13-5. But the Spartans (11-6) made it interesting, after falling behind by double digits in the first quarter, to pull within three at halftime (32-29). The Warriors again jumped out to a double digit lead in the third, but New Hartford made it close in the fourth. Derek German led the Spartans with 20 points, while A.J. Wolfganger added 14. |
