Oneonta girls headed to the state final

TROY, N.Y. (WKTV) - The Oneonta Lady Yellowjackets are one win away from taking home a state title. They beat Watervliet from Section II on Friday 30-24 in the Class B State Semifinals at HVCC.

Sienna Wisse led the Yellowjackets with 11 points. Oneonta prevailed despite making only 10 of 44 shots (22.7 percent) and turning it over 22 times. Watervliet made just 8 of 35 shots (22.9 percent) and turned it over 24 times.

Oneonta, now 20-3, will face Irvington from Section I in the Class B State Final on Saturday at 4pm back at HVCC. Irvington defeated Section Five’s Nazareth, 80-70, in the other semifinal earlier Friday.
