Whitesboro drops into 0-3 hole

By MIKE LEVIN

WHITESBORO, N.Y. (WKTV) - The Whitesboro football team fell into an 0-3 hole Friday night, dropping a 14-7 decision to Indian River at Chiz Frye Field.  The Warriors have now lost three games by a combined ten points, an average of just over three points per deficit.

The Warriors hadn't started a season 0-2 since 1990 and there isn't anyone who remembers the team ever starting 0-3.

Mike DiVaccaro got Whitesboro on the board in the first quarter with a 49 yard touchdown run, but the Warriors never found the end zone again.

Jakese Crockett would tie the score late in the first on a seven yard TD run for Indian River.  The score remained tied through halftime, until Deondre Grier finished a 70 yard drive with a one yard touchdown that put Indian River on top for good.
