Sandy Creek comes back to beat West Canada

NEWPORT, N.Y. (WKTV) - In Saturday's Section III Class D Football Quarterfinal action, defending champ Sandy Creek came back from a 14-0 deficit, scoring 34 unanswered points to beat West Canada Valley 34-14.  The game turned on a 44 yard interception return for a touchdown by Cameron Hall in the second, putting the Comets on the board.

They would tie the score before halftime, as Kyle Fayette threw a 29 yard TD pass to Zach Halsey, then take the lead in the third quarter as Tyler Swarthout scored on a four yard TD run.

With the win, Sandy Creek advances to face Dolgeville in the Class D semis, next weekend.
