HOLLAND PATENT, N.Y. (WKTV) - Little Falls senior Gen Schoff reached the 1,000 point plateau early in the first quarter of her team's 52-42 win at Holland Patent Saturday afternoon. In fact, it came on the second of two free throw attempts.
Schoff needed six points to get to 1,000 and ended with 15 on the game, giving her 1,009 for her Mountie career. She also grabbed nine rebounds, blocked five shots and had four assists. The 2013 Sports Express All-Star had a big following on the road, which included a running tally of her carerr point total.
Little Falls (10-0) jumped out to an early lead and went up 18-10 at the end of the first quarter and 34-11 at the half. Amy Hart scored 13 for the Mounties, while Kelli Shepardson added 11.
Holland Patent (4-5) came back in the third, outscoring LF 11-5 to make it 39-22 heading into the final eight minutes. The Golden Knights would take the fourth quarter as well, 20-13. Alyssa Curtis and Kierston Backus each led HP with 12 points apiece.
