UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - The Proctor boys basketball team clinched their first Tri-Valley League title in their first season Friday night, after a 69-61 win over Whitesboro. The Warriors made a comeback similar to the one they had Tuesday against New Hartford, but Tyvon Reed and J'Von Evans helped the Raiders keep the lead.
Reed had 26 points and 10 rebounds, with a fantastic slam dunk in the third quarter. Evans put the game away with four straight three pointers in the fourth quarter, finishing with 20 points.
T.J. Borza had 23 points for Whitesboro, while Luke Moore had 18.
At 9-0 in the TVL, the Raiders clinched the title, as second place Notre Dame already had two losses before Friday's games. Proctor is now 14-3 on the season. Whitesboro is 12-5 on the season and 4-5 in the TVL.
The Raider JV team also clinched the TVL title with a win over Whitesboro.
