ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: Ashley Roser

CAMDEN, N.Y. (WKTV) - This week's Athlete of the Week is Ashley Roser from Camden High School.  The Lady Blue Devils junior scored her 1,000th career point and pulled down her 800th career rebound in a win over Notre Dame.  She also led her team in scoring in 17 of its 19 games entering its regular season finale.

But for all that offense, she actually likes playing defense better.

"I [like defense] because it's tougher.  A lot of people don't like it, but you play defense then score easy points; get steals," Roser says.

Camden head coach Jerry Smith says of his star "We feel that she's worked extremely hard on her blocked shots, scoring, rebounding; we truly believe she's a complete player."
