Athlete of the Week: Samantha Carswell

HERKIMER, N.Y. (WKTV) - This week's Athlete of the Week is Samantha Carswell from Herkmier.

The senior led the Lady General girls basketball team with 29 total points and 34 rebounds in the team's two ames at the Fort Plain Tournament to open the season.

In the second game against the hosts, she pulled in 20 rebounds as herkimer won 56-47.

Carswell said, "Just knowing where the ball is going to be, just boxing out. Rebounds are not really anything you can teach, it's just about heart and hard work."
