Adrean falls short at Blue & Gold Classic

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - In their opening game of the annual Blue & Gold Classic, Adrean Post fell 10-7 to Shrub Oak at Notre Dame High School.  The game ended after six innings because of darkness.

Adrean jumped to a 1-0 lead in the first inning on an RBI single by Zane Smith, which scored Zach Kesterson.  But Shrub Oak responded in the top of the second, with three runs, all scored on a bases loaded double by Chris Salvo.

Adrean will play two games in the Classic on Thursday, first at 9 a.m. at DeLutis Field in Rome against Hillcrest.  The second is back at Notre Dame at 6 p.m., against Severna Park, from Maryland.
