NH, Proctor, Clinton win at Classic

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - New Hartford kept their perfect record intact, while Proctor and Clinton were also victorious Sunday at the Third Annual Stop DWI High School Baseball Classic at Murnane Field.  All three games were postponed after rain late Friday and into Saturday made field conditions unplayable.

In the first game of the day, New Hartford trailed V-V-S 1-0 heading into the seventh inning, but the Spartans scored three runs and won it 3-1.  Paul Maurizio, who pitched six of seven innings, giving up just the one run, was named MVP as New Hartford improved their perfect record to 9-0.

In game two, Proctor topped Camden 7-4, with pitcher Ryan Crigger the MVP.  The Raiders are now 6-4.
