Boys Basketball:NY Mills wins the Class D-1 title

HERKIMER, N.Y. (WKTV) - The NY Mills boys won their fourth straight section title after beating Poland 67-43 on Tuesday night in the Class D-1 final at HCCC.

Sophomore and former NEWSChannel 2 Athlete of the Week Nick Comenale scored 21 points, grabbed 10 rebounds, dished out five assists and had five steals in the win. Senior center Matt Welch chipped in 16 points and grabbed nine rebounds for Mills, who will now face Sackets Harbor in the Class D-1/D-2 final on Sunday at 12:45pm at the Carrier Dome.

Poland, who finishes 13-9, was led by Mark Hennings nine points.
