Boys Basketball:Third time a charm for Proctor

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WKTV) - The Proctor boys basketball team finally acheived their goal of winning a section title Sunday by beating Henninger 46-44 in the Section III Class AA final.  The Raiders had lost each of the previous two finals, including last year to Henninger, but won this year, their first since 2007.

J'von Evans and Levoy Leggette each scored 11 points to lead the top seeded Raiders.

Proctor trailed 15-11 at the end of the first quarter, but pulled back within a point, 28-27, at halftime.

The Raiders then went on an 11-1 run in the third quarter and led 38-31 heading into the fourth quarter.  Henninger would keep it close, but in the end, the Raiders pulled it out.
