Holland Patent Keeps Clinton Winless

HOLLAND PATENT, NY (WKTV) - Brianna Petronio scored two goals, Samantha Ranaudo only had to make three saves, and Holland Patent put away visiting Clinton in a Tri-Valley League matchup on Wednesday 3-0.

Petronio put the Lady Golden Knights ahead to stay with 11:51 left in the first half on a goal off a penalty corner--one of 10 corners Holland Patent drew in the half compared to just one for Clinton.  Petronio made it 2-0 with 11:09 left in the second half, and Kelsey Hughes added the final score in the final minute.  Tiffany Tebo assisted on two of the goals.

Clinton goalie Rachel Moccaldi was outstanding despite the final score, making 16 saves under constant pressure.  Holland Patent had a 13-4 advantage on penalty corners in the game.

The victory improves Holland Patent to 4-2 in TVL play and 6-3 overall; Clinton is 0-6 league and overall.
