SAUQUOIT, NY (WKTV) - Top-seeded Little Falls is going to the Section III field hockey finals for the 15th time in 19 years thanks to a 1-0 Class D semifinal win over No. 4 Hamilton Saturday at Sauquoit Valley.

The Lady Mounties took the lead for good early in the first half when a charging Sara Helmer set up Lizzy Demeree for a close shot at the post.  It was the second time this season Little Falls beat Hamilton by one goal after a 3-2 victory in the regular season.

Little Falls, now 17-2, advances to play the winner of No. 6 Cooperstown-No. 2 New York Mills in the final Wednesday at Homer at 5:00.

Hamilton ends the season 10-9-1.
