RFA field hockey playing great

ROME, N.Y. (WKTV) - The RFA field hockey team is on a roll. After losing their first game of the season, the Lady Black Knights have game gone 8-0-2. They key to their success? Chemistry.

"We have a lot of good chemistry this year we've been playing together since modified." says co-captain Stacie Skidmore. "We all know how each other plays and we work well together." Her head coach Linda Harjung agrees. "They've learned a lot about themselves and a lot about each other. They're just working so hard and the chemistry is there it doesn't matter who is on the field, they're clicking no matter who it is."

During their unbeaten streak, they got a little revenge beating Baldwinsville 7-1. The Bees were the team that beat them in the first game of the season. Right now the Lady Black Knights are clicking and are showing signs of getting even better.

"Offensive wins games but defense wins championships." says co-captain Nikki Kieffer. "So we are working on our defensive game because obviously we're getting the goals off pretty well."
