Minasi, West Canada stays perfect vs. Oriskany

NEWPORT, N.Y. (WKTV) - Jack Minasi rushed for 134 yards and four touchdowns and also caught a 75 yard score as West Canada continued their perfect 2012, 39-8 over Oriskany at Koch Field Saturday.  Indians QB Ryan Moody also added 214 passing yards and three TDs.

Leading 13-0 in the second quarter, West Canada was facing a possible Oriskany score at the Indians three yard line, when Moody made a huge play on defense, intercepting Austin Smith in the end zone and bringing it out 12 yards to set up his team's next score.

A few plays later, Moody went deep to Minasi who outran everyone on the Oriskany defense, scoring from 75 yards out.

Minasi has now rushed for 504 yards through his team's first three games.

West Canada hosts Sauquoit next Saturday in a big Class D East showdown.  Oriskany will host South Lewis.
