Sauquoit hangs on to beat Mohawk

SAUQUOIT VALLEY, N.Y. (WKTV) - The Sauquoit Indians held off a late Mohicans rally to beat Mohawk 22-16 on Friday night.
Alec Voce had 104 yards rushing and two touchdowns on the night and Connor O'Neill had 122 yards and a touchdown. Carson Murphy led the Mohicans with a rushing touchdown and a passing score.
Sauquoit led 22-16 late in the fourth quarter when Justin Dempsey picked off Murphy to seal the deal. Sauquoit improves to 4-2 overall while Mohawk drops 1-5.
