By WKTV Sports

NEW HARTFORD, N.Y. (WKTV) - For the first time in over 60 years, there won't be an Edick or a Jones on the sidelines at New Hartford. Todd Hobin has been appointed the new varisity football coach at New Hartford High School.

The board of education approved Hobin on Tuesday night. He was the offensive coordinator under Bob Jones for the past three seasons. Jones resigned last month due to philisophical differences with the athletic department.

"This is a great opportunity for me." Hobin said. "I'm excited about the chance to work with these kids."

Hobin spent four seasons as an assistant coach at Hamilton College before taking over the JV head coaching job at New Hartford.
