UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - The Notre Dame Jugglers topped Holland Patent 28-14 in a turnover-filled game on Monday.
The game was originally supposed to be played on Saturday but was moved to Monday because of inclimate weather. Jordan Chroback rushed for 150 yards and a touchdown but left the game with a turned ankle late in the first quarter after being horse-collar tackled stopping what would have been his second touchdown of the game.
The Jugglers then went up 14-0 on a one yard run by Vinny Sorce. After Holland Patent cut the lead to 14-7 on a Matt Curtis touchdown, Joe Giglio scored two second quarter touchdowns to make it 28-7 at the half.
Both teams had their chances but seven total turnovers made the matchup sloppy. Notre Dame improves to 2-0 with the win. Holland Patent drops to 0-2.
