Mohawk Girls Cruise To 53-39 Win Over Notre Dame

MOHAWK, N.Y. (WKTV) - The Mohawk girls lived up to their top seed in Class C-2 by beating 8th seeded Notre Dame 53-39 on Tuesday night in the quarterfinals.

Mohawk got off to the early lead with defense. They led 30-11 at the half. Now while the Lady Jugglers did come out strong early in the third quarter, Mohawk stepped up on a 13-2 run to blow the game open. Christy Traglia led all scorers with 18 points. Katie Monihan chipped in 11 points.

Mohawk, ranked 11th in the state in Class C, will now face Beaver River in the semis.
