Whitesboro Comes Up Short In Class A Final

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - The Whitesboro Lady Warriors had it in their grasp, but let it slip away. Mexico beat them in the Class A final 42-39 on Saturday at the Utica Memorial Auditorium.

With Whitesboro up three points with just over three minutes to go, Mexico turned up the defense and outscored them 8-3 down the stretch to seal the deal.

Angie Josbena led Mexico with 16 points while her sister Evie chipped in 10 points. Betsy Gadziala scored 16 for Whitesboro. They finish 18-5 on the season.
