Girls Basketball: Third quarter run lifts Lady Jugglers to semis
UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - The Notre Dame girls basketball team, ranked third in the Section III Class B-1 tournament, defeated Bishop Grimes 81-51 Friday night in the quarterfinal round. The Lady Jugglers, leading just 33-27 at halftime, exploded with a 19-2 run in the third quarter to take control for good.
Emily Durr scored 31 points, and also added 11 rebounds, 6 assists and 3 steals. Haley Sehring also came up big, with 22 points and 9 rebounds. Jordan Mordan dishes out 9 assists for the Jugglers, who now advance to the semifinals, where they'll meet #2 South Jefferson.
