Bruins helps Lady Mounties stay perfect

By MIKE LEVIN

NEWPORT, N.Y. (WKTV) - The Little Falls girls basketball team stayed perfect on the season Wednesday, defeating rival West Canada Valley 45-39.  Sarah Bruins led the Lady Mounties with 20 points.

Alexis Fauvelle had 17 for West Canada, who held Gen Schoff in check, allowing her just 2 points.  But Schoff, who had 20 points, 13 rebounds and 7 steals in a Monday win over Ilion, still was a force against the Lady Indians, blocking four shots.

Mikey Maxwell added 8 points and 13 rebounds for WCV, while Amy Hart had 11 points for Little Falls.

The Lady Mounties improve to 3-0 on the season, while West Canada falls to 1-2.
