ND sweeps playoff doubleheader with Skaneateles

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - The Notre Dame girls and boys basketball teams each beat Skaneateles Tuesday night in their respective Section III Class B Quarterfinal matchups.  In the first game, the girls won 71-40 and in the second game, the boys won 68-32.

Emily Durr paced the Lady Jugglers with 24 points and 11 rebounds in her final home game at Walsh Gymnasium.  Another senior, Jaclyn Hajec, added 21 points and 10 rebounds.  Junior Anari Harris came close to getting Notre Dame's third double-double of the game, finishing with 16 points and 9 rebounds.

Notre Dame took a 21-14 lead at the end of the first quarter, then used a 22-9 second quarter to go to halftime with a 43-23 lead.

In the boys game, Kevin Warmack and Jerome Brabham each chipped in 16 points apiece for the Jugglers.  Joe Sullivan added 12 points and 11 rebounds.  The Jugglers took a 31-17 lead at the half and continued to roll from there.

Both teams now advance to the Class B Section Semis at OCC, with the boys to play at 6 on Friday and the girls at 8:15 on Saturday.
