RFA tops Whitesboro in league play


ROME, N.Y. (WKTV) - The RFA girls basketball team beat TVL rival Whitesboro 47-30 Friday night.  Tiana Pugh led the Black Knights with 14 points, while Morgan Murphy added 13.

Whitesboro led 12-10 at the end of the first quarter and 17-15 at halftime.  But RFA would outscore the Lady Warriors 32-13 in the second half, 20-4 in the fourth quarter.

Whitesboro's leading scorers were Maria Lapertosa and Kaylee Gassner, who each had 10.

RFA improves to 9-3 on the season, 5-1 in the TVL.  Whitesboro fell to 7-6 overall, 3-4 in the league.
