Girls Basketball:Whitesboro falls in regionals

LIVERPOOL, N.Y. (WKTV) - The Whitesboro Lady Warriors came up just short, losing to Averill Park 53-51 in the Class A regional final on Saturday.

Francesca Cotrupe led the Lady Warriors in scoring with 16 points, 11 in the third quarter. Allie Cady chipped in 14 and Jen Deuel added 12 points.

Alison Nunziato led Averill Park with 15 points.

Whitesboro finishes the season 21-1, including their first ever Class A Section III title.
