H.S. Hockey: Clinton wins home openerCLINTON, N.Y. (WKTV) - The Clinton hockey team won their first game at Clinton Arena, beating Auburn 3-2 Friday night. Austin Bouse hit the game winning goal in the third period for the Warriors, who evened their record at 1-1. Clinton lost their season opener, 3-1 at RFA Tuesday. Auburn scored the first goal of the game thanks to Jake Wood, who scored just a few minutes into the second period. The Maroons led 1-0 until there was 5:55 left in the period, when Steve Higgins made a beautiful pass to Ryan DeZalia for the goal. Just 95 seconds later, Clinton took the lead as Ryan Perry scored a goal. The Warriors will be back at Clinton Arena Tuesday night at 7:30 against defending state champion Cazenovia. Most Popular |
