CBA/JD beats NH in overtime


NEW HARTFORD, N.Y. (WKTV) - The New Hartford hockey team is still looking for its first win of the season after falling 5-4 in overtime Saturday to CBA/JD at the Rec Center.  Deke Burns scored the game winning goal at 2:02 of the extra period. 

The combined Brothers scored the game's first two goals, both by Brendan Flanagan in the first five minutes of the game.  But the Spartans got one back before the first intermission, when Alex Cooke's shot trickled through.

CBA/JD scored a goal in each of the next two periods, while New Hartford got two in the second and one in the third.  Mike Rich and James Quinn each had a goal and an assist, while Grant Romeo also had a goal for the Spartans.

With the loss, New Hartford falls to 0-1-2 on the season.
