Mike Zalewski: One-on-One with CNY's newest NHL player

By WKTV Sports

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - On March 14, 2014, former RPI Engineer and New Hartford Spartans standout, Mike Zalewski, signed his first professional hockey contract with the Vancouver Canucks, in order to follow in the footsteps of his brother Steve, Clinton's Nick Palmieri, Whitesboro's Mark Mowers and Rob Esche, and Rome's Tim and Tom Sestito as yet another hockey player from the Mohawk Valley to make it to the NHL.

Prior to leaving town to join his new team, who is in the thick of a Stanley Cup playoff race, Zalewski sat down with NEWSChannel 2's Digital Media Producer, Spencer Davidson, a former teammate of his during the Spartans' 2009 NYS Division II Championship run, to discuss the move and realizing his dream as a member of the NHL.
