NEW HARTFORD, N.Y. (WKTV) - The New Hartford Spartans finally got their first win of the season by beating Proctor 4-2 on Monday afternoon.
The two-time defending state champs got off to a 3-0 lead after two periods thanks to goals by Kris Martinelli, Nick Suits and Peter Davidson.
Proctor cut that lead to 3-2 in the third on two goals by captain Furuk Lidian. But Eric Fitzgerald added an insurance goal to seal the deal.
The Spartans are now 1-7-2. Proctor drops to 2-9-1.
