Spartans fall to CBA/JD in quarters

NEW HARTFORD, N.Y. (WKTV) - The New Hartford hockey team's quest for their first section title since their last state championship four years ago ended Saturday, with a 4-1 loss at home to defending Division II state champ CBA/JD.  The Spartans finish the season at 15-6.

Lucus Relkin got the Brothers on the board in the first period and CBA/JD took a 1-0 lead to the first intermission.

Cullen Moran tied the score in the second, but the Brothers scored three straight, two by Ryan Durkin.  Tim Decker had 25 saves in the CBA/JD net.

The Brothers advance to the Section III Division II semis, where they will go to Auburn.
