New Hartford tops Cortland 8-4 in boys lacrosse

NEW HARTFORD, N.Y. (WKTV) - On a beautiful day for spring sports, the New Hartford Spartans downed Cortland 8-4 on Friday. It was the season opener for New Hartford.

The Spartans took a 6-2 lead into halftime and never really looked back. Jake Silberlicht scored three goals and one assist while Andrew Kelleher notched two goals of his own. Phil Champman and Jamie Stuhlinger had a goald and an assist apiece.

New Hartford (1-0) will now face rival Whitesboro on Saturday at 6pm at HCCC. The Warriors go into the contest 3-0.
