New Hartford girls lacrosse can't upset East Syracuse-Minoa

NEW HARTFORD, N.Y. (WKTV) - The New Hartford girls lacrosse team played tough against East Syracuse-Minoa on Friday but could not come up with an upset, losing 16-6.

New Hartford only trailed 8-4 at halftime behind a hat trick from Jessie Rys, but ES-M, ranked No. 10 in the state in Class B, pulled away in the second half.

The loss drops New Hartford to 0-3 overall while the win bumps ES-M to 4-2.

Mary Kate Edmunds scored two goals for New Hartford and Ashley Chanatry had the other.
