Spartans top Warriors in Think Pink game


NEW HARTFORD, N.Y. (WKTV) - New Hartford had a total team effort on Good Friday, beating rival Whitesboro 18-5 in the 2nd annual Shooting for the Cure lacrosse game.  Proceeds from the game are going to the Susan G. Koman For the Cure of Central New York, which raises awareness of breast cancer.

Senior captain Emily Miller led the Spartans (2-0) with five goals, while her classmate and fellow captain Marykate Edmunds had four goals and an assist.  Junior Lauren Elsenbeck added three goals and an assist, while former NEWSChannel 2 Ashley Chanatry added three goals.

Theano Alvanos had a goal and three assists, while Jessie Rys added a goal and two assists for the Lady Spartans.
