Warriors beat Spartans in double overtime

By JASON POWLES

WHITESBORO, N.Y. (WKTV) - When the Whitesboro Warriors and New Hartford Spartans meet in any sport, you have to throw out the records. That was the case on Tuesday night as the winless Warriors upended the Spartans 6-5 in double overtime.

Whitesboro led 5-4 in the fourth quarter when Todd Owens scored with under a minute to go to send it to overtime. Chad Martin would be the hero for the Warriors scoring in the second overtime. Matt Felitto led the team in scoring with two goals.

Tony Karam and Nick Levanti had two goals apiece for the Spartans who drop to 3-3 overall. Whitesboro is now 1-6 overall.
