CNY BMX hosting Olympic Day Friday

BRIDGEWATER, N.Y. (WKTV) - Despite a season that's seen its fair share of rain, CNY BMX, right off Route 8 in Bridgewater, is still enjoying another fantastic season of racing.

While it may not be an Olympic year, BMX is an Olympic sport and Friday night the track is hosting their annual Olympic Day, where racing is free to all.

"It's really different than your typical school sports," says track director and rider Nicholas Rauch.  "We get a wide range of people out here and a wide range of ages, abilities. I've got people out here who have been doing this since they were three and four years old.  We have two or three more riders who have never really been out and they're out there mixing around the track."

Anyone who's interested in Olympic Day or the track in general can call them at (315) 404-2713.
