New Hartford boys headed to state soccer final four

CHITTENANGO, N.Y. (WKTV) - The New Hartford boys soccer team beat Massena in the Class A regional final 1-0 on Saturday. They will face Byram Hills in a Class A state semifinal game next Friday at 9am at the National Soccer Hall of Fame in Oneonta.

The sole score came off the leg of Zach Hecox with the assist from A.J. Wolfanger in the 27th minute of the first half. Tom Gilroy was solid in goal once again. He and his defense have not given up a goal yet in the post season.

Its the Spartans first state final four appearance since 2004 when they finish co-state champs with Jericho High School.
