By MIKE LEVIN

ROME, N.Y. (WKTV) - The Poland girls soccer team jumped out to a four goal lead by halftime in their game Monday against Rome Catholic, winning 6-1.  Paige Sullivan scored both of the Tornado goals in the second half.

Poland scored their first goal on a shot by Courtney Tabor that deflected off Red Wings keeper Page Oshel.  Later, Mikayla Blumenstock hit the post, but Brianna Goggin knocked it in off the rebound.

Saige Hampston got her first career goal off an assist by Alyssa Lepper to give Poland a three goal lead.  Blumenstock added one more with just twenty seconds to go until halftime.

The Tornadoes improved to 7-2 on the season, with their only losses so far both coming to the #1 ranked Class D team in the state, Remsen.
