Clinton Girls Come Back To Beat Sherburne 40-35

MARCY, N.Y. (WKTV) - The Clinton Warriors only led twice on Friday night. The second time was when it counted though as they beat Sherburne-Earlville 40-35 in the Class B-2 semifinal at Whitesboro.

Allie Donovan's three pointer with under two minutes to go in the 4th quarter gave the Lady Warriors the lead for good. It was their first and only three pointer of the game. Donovan, Kate Thompson and Miranda McDaniel all scored eight points apiece for the Lady Warriors who struggled with their outside shooting. So did the Lady Marauders. Brenda Hoefler was their leading scorer with 10 points.

Clinton moves on to face undefeated Canastota in the B-2 final. That game with be on either March 3rd or 4th at a site to be named.
