Spartans ice Warriors

CLINTON, N.Y. (WKTV) - The final game of the season between the New Hartford Spartans and Clinton Warriors usually has some sort of playoff implications. Not so this time around but it still had the intensity of a playoff game with New Hartford skating to the 7-3 win on Thursday night at the Clinton Arena.

The Spartans got off to an early 3-0 lead thanks to two goals by Clayton Whittemore. He finished with four goals on the night, 38 for the season. Jason Fitzgerald added three assists and Spencer Landry stopped 34 shots. New Hartford finishes the regular season 15-4-1.

Three goalies combined for 34 saves for the Warriors while Will Blazer netted two goals and Steven Abdoo had three assists. Clinton wraps up the regular season 12-8.
